Tina Turner, original name Anna Mae Bullock, was born on November 26th, 1939, Brownsville, Tennessee, U.S. She was an American-born singer who found success in the rhythm-and-blues, soul, and rock genres in a career that spanned five decades. She began singing as a teenager then moved to St. Louis Missouri where she found herself absorbed into the rhythm and blues scene. It was here she met her future husband Ike Turner and she eventually started to perform with his band- the Kings of Rhythm. It was with the band that started to perform under the name Tina Turner, and very soon she found herself being the main star of the show. In 1960 she had her 1st success with the song A Fool in Love.
In 2018 she was given a Grammy Award for lifetime achievement.In 2021 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo performer. She was a legend in the music industry and was the 1st black female artist on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. She will forever be remembered as the Queen of Rock and Roll.
